Our Mission

The Junior League is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

In 2019, the Junior League of The Golden Isles became an Affiliating Member of The Association of Junior Leagues International, a non-profit organization whose members have amassed an archive of irrefutable results and an indisputable reputation as thoughtful and influential change agents for the public good. As an Affiliating Member, we are provisionally part of a network of over 140,000 women in 291 communities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Mexico. With roots dating back to 1901, The Junior League constitutes one of the largest, most effective volunteer organizations in the world. 

Our Focus Area:

Empowering families in the Golden Isles through literacy and nutritional education, with an emphasis on our community’s youth.
